Connection begins here.
Inclusive community for Deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing youth and their families.
A place where identity is celebrated, American Sign Language is centred, and every family finds belonging.
Who we are
PAH! ASL Deaf Youth Society is a community-led nonprofit creating inclusive, ASL-supported spaces for Deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing children, youth, and their families.
We believe language access builds confidence, connection, and belonging.
Our programs bring families together to reduce isolation, strengthen identity, and build lasting community.
-
We use “Deaf” as an inclusive term for people who identify as deaf, deafblind, deafdisabled, hard of hearing, late-deafened, or hearing impaired.
Deaf identity is personal and fluid, and every experience is valued.
-
To create inclusive, ASL-supported social spaces for Deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing children and youth in the Okanagan and Thompson-Shuswap.
To build peer connections and support overall well-being through community partnerships.
-
Every Deaf and hard of hearing child connected, supported, and confident in who they are.
From the margins to the center, every child belongs.
