CNIWT Camp
CNIWT Family Summer Camp
CNIWT means “WIND” — a name gifted to us in Nsyilxcen by the Westbank First Nation, spoken by the Syilx Okanagan peoples. It refers to the breezy bay where our camp lives and breathes.
The full name, Staqtkunwít, describes something beautiful:
“The area where the winds cause the water to wash upon the shore, creating small puddles.”
It’s a name rooted in land, language, and movement — just like our camp.

Help Keep Camp Affordable for Everyone
Making CNIWT Camp accessible is a shared effort — and our community makes it possible. Alongside sponsorships and partnerships, we maintain a subsidy fund to support families who need financial assistance.
Here’s how you can help:
• Join or share our fundraising events
• Make a donation — every dollar helps
• Pay it forward by adding a little extra at registration, if you’re able
Every contribution helps ensure that no family is left out because of cost. Together, we can make camp possible for everyone.
